# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, baking soda, and salt until evenly distributed.
03 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter, packed brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 2-3 minutes.
04 - Add egg, molasses, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Beat until fully combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Do not overmix.
06 - Divide dough in half, wrap each portion in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for easier handling.
07 - On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to approximately 1/4 inch thickness.
